Luis Bivar
"Fanciful" follows Luis Bivar’s month-long artist residency at EXNO9 and explores his newest work fusing his well-known contemporary figurative style with exciting and surprising botanical influences.

Luis Bivar is a contemporary figurative and multidisciplinary artist who presently lives and works in Cascais, Portugal. While he was an Art Director, he won the first edition of the European Design Modulex Award, all while painting and exhibiting his work. His long-term pursuit of painting and collage led him to establish himself successfully in Portugal as well as in Northern Europe and the USA.
Greatly influenced by the Pop Art movement, his work reflects stereotyping in a unique manner that characterizes him well. He believes that new media is a permanent challenge and explores various techniques in his artwork including drawing, mixed media and, more recently, sculpting.
His work is in private and public collections all around the world.
