Flowers are the symbol of Spring, for us a new season after the winter of Covid shutdowns and the slow return of large and safe gatherings. We felt it’s time to get back to sharing exhibitions with the public and opening up new options for art collectors and patrons of WHITEPOINT, and to continue to remind people that Asbury Park is the arts destination of New Jersey, perhaps of the whole region between New York City and Philadelphia.
ARTICULTURE is a show of four different artists whose work is influenced directly or indirectly by floral themes. Of course the WHITEPOINT take is not traditional, but the argument can be made - who can improve upon a flower? That will be up to the viewer and the artists will not disappoint!
It’s always our goal to curate an exhibition that is current, contemporary, and something to get excited about. Our show is not just about the artwork, but involves the whole programming of WHITEPOINT. The hashtag #livewithart is our motto because we feel strongly that the joy of art ownership is not only having art you love in your environment, but how it is displayed and integrated into your living or work space through the art of framing.
“As the resident artist in the show and curator of the exhibition, I am honored to work along side each of the artists in ARTICULTURE, all of whose work is very different but connected by theme. I am equally grateful to my team - Lois and Christina - for their work in the many aspects of making WHITEPOINT a success.” - Tom White
