WHITEPOINT offers their interpretation of what is considered coastal-related art you can live with all year rather than just the summer months.

Luis Bivar is known by his global collector base for his penetrating black and white female faces with colorful surprises hidden within her facial features. He is equally known for his forest scapes that portray a layered fantasy world of flowers, trees, birds, butterflies and other visitors hiding in the foliage. Specially for WHITEPOINT he has created both - dripping with underwater intrigue.

Resident artist and gallery director Tom White presents “grand new” versions of his Seaside Dreaming works on aluminum. “I create photography-based reminiscence of the shore that freeze moments in time of peek grandeur that stopped us in our tracks and made us pause to take in the view”, he says. The aluminum surfaces react to ambient light like the changing light of day, as if animating day to night. A special velvety limited print release called In The Moment will also be on view. As always, Aqua Magnae, micro photos of timeworn sea shells enlarged up to 50x like large 2D sculptures, will also be on exhibit.

New Jersey artist and global exhibitor Erik Minter’s canvas Windstalker, a breath-taking yet soothing display of color and physicality rounds out the show with the largest single work in the exhibition.

If you want to be reminded of your favorite things about contemporary art and living by the shore, make an appointment during the extended summer hours.
